Bluejack Ranch

Fort Worth, Texas

Overview

The second Bluejack course by TGR Design, Bluejack Ranch, will anchor the newest world-class private club and community just outside of Fort Worth in Aledo, Texas. The former working ranch features dramatic topography across the 914-acre property where the par 72 championship layout will span nearly 7700 yards and provide a memorable and unique golf offering for the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

The course at Bluejack Ranch will provide a similar strategic, yet fun playing experience to its sister course, Bluejack National in Montgomery, Texas, in a whole new environment.

The site is more reminiscent of Texas’ Hill Country than the surrounding North Texas landscape as the course will play alongside stunning terrain dotted with rock outcroppings as well as mature oaks and hardwoods that line the numerous creeks running throughout the property that will contrast the open, rolling pastureland for a truly unique and varied experience throughout the round.

Wide playing corridors flanked by native grasses and prairie will offer playability throughout the round while also emphasizing shot-making and strategy as multiple routes will be offered from tee to green. The highly strategic nature of the course will be particularly evident in the interesting and bold green contouring that will place a premium on accuracy and precision to score well but maintain playability with low-cut green surrounds that promote creative shot-making and recoveries.

The fun-focused ethos from Bluejack National will be mirrored at Bluejack Ranch as the course will offer interesting and fun amenities and comfort stations throughout the round and will be complemented by a 10-hole short course. A world-class practice facility will also feature a double-sided range tailored to elite level practice.

While feeling a world away from the nearby bustle of Fort Worth, the uniqueness of Bluejack Ranch is also apparent from the clubhouse which is perched atop the highest point of the surrounding ranch and offers long-range views of downtown Fort Worth as a reminder of its connection to the city.
